Proper dipstick

Featured Replies

I know this may seem trivial to some but being able to read the oil level easily is a bonus changing from PD engines to common rail. The end of the dipstick on my new Fabia has a grey plastic end which shows the oil level really well. My last 4 cars have all had PD engines and the oil level was near impossible to read reliably.

BTW the engine has only used a quarter litre of oil in the first 2000 miles. I haven't noticed any regens yet and averaging between 55 and 60 mpg. Very happy so far!
