It's definitely possible - I've done it for the same reason you say. From maxidot, phone option (naturally) and somewhere that isn't as obvious as 'ring tones' which would be too easy. But it is there. You only have about 5 choices but I think there'll be one to suit.

If you still can't find it, I'll do a check on mine - just don't want to wake everyone else at this time of night.

If you could post hoto change the ring tone on the blue tooth kit that would be great.

I have been looking for ages and have not found it yet.

Just checked on mine. Select phone on the maxidot menu. Then selecet 'settings'. Then 'signal setting' (doesn't make sense to me but .... ) and the you can see 'ring tone' (I have 7 choices) and 'volume'.

Hope that works - as you say, the default is awful.

Many thanks for the info... your right... not an obvious path to get to change it. Will get that awful tinkerbell resigned to the bin !

hmmm... I don't have a "signal setting" on my car. Only have phone, settings, audio mode, phone book, bluetooth. I'll keep looking !

Sounds like they've changed the software or something. My top level menus is MFD, Phone, Audio, Setup and Assistant. What I use to change ringtone is under 'phone' as in the earlier post.

Mind you I've just looked in my handbook which says:

Settings

In the menu Settings you can select the following menu points:

 Phone book

 Update

 List

 Surname

 First name

 Ring tone.

That's not in line with what I said earlier - but I can tell you that on my car (MY2010) the handbook is therefore wrong.

Sorry - lost as to what to suggest now.

Thanks for the info, I would seem the menu's have changed. I'll do some scouting around next week, (my cars in for repairs after some muppet drove in the back of me) so I can take my time and read the manual properly ;-)
