Adjusting Camber

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Is it possible to adjust the camber on VRS's (with either standard suspension or coilovers)? I dont mean by buying those K&N kits, I mean by just what's there from the factory?

(FAO The Search Police - i've looked and couldnt find what i was after)

No adjustment for camber or caster. You can only adjust toe.

However you can loosen the console bushes and subframe. Maybe this can be used to alter the camber?

Not possible, the sus is a fixed setup, you would need to get a bolt on kit.

Do K&N Do them?

Cool thats good then. yeah i'm pretty sure KW do a kit, pretty expensice tho

can i ask what bolt kit you get to adjust the camber? and where about the bolt kit goes as the strut goes in to the hub carrier only way i could see possible kit is through a top mount kit .

cheers

D2 do a coilover kit with adjustable top camber plates

No OEM camber control mechanism. Strut body is clamped into the hub rather than bolting to it, so no opportunity to use camber bolts either. There's play in the mountings of both the subframe and the consoles. These can provide an amount of adjustment. Also, superpro etc do camber or alignment (eccentric) bushes for the front wishbone rear mount.

Also, also, if your rear end is "out", search for Basil's rear camber corection thread.

I think the Superpro bushes increase the caster not camber.
