I've had my octavia vrs tsi for two days and now I need to select my next lease option for xmas delivery by Friday!!

I've narrowed it to a golf gti or a scirocco tdi 170, which would you choose, miles isn't really an issue and lease costs there is about 20 quid in it

Never driven either but I guess the golf would be similar to the skoda!!!

i would go for the scirocco.

better looking than the golf.

not as many on the road as the golf.

golfs are everywhere, i live near bradford and believe it or not - there are less prostitutes than golfs !!!!

Ive never driven the 170 tdi engine and am concerned i may be disappointed coming from a stage 2 mapped mk1 fabia Vrs

I like the way the TSI octavia Drives but i fear it may have a thirst, MPG is poor but its only done 40 mikes

if you are concerned about mpg stay away from the tsi.

mine has done 8k and i am getting about 30 mpg

I dont do many miles so MPG isnt a huge issue, 30MPG is about what i think also

The golf i presume would be the better drivers car but the scirocco is more exculsive and interesting

Golf gti every day of the week. Performance in the scirocco tdi would be disappointing coming from a tsi vrs.

I'd go for the Golf GTi, IMO don't particulary think the Scirocco is a nice looking car...

interesting, ive not got used to the tsi Octavia yet, massive car compared to my old fabia, very smooth power delivery and deceptive in speed i think..

If you don't need the diesel economy, don't get the scirocco. Whilst not a bad engine, it's a compromise. Stick with the petrol.

For those who may be interested i decided on the Golf GTI in Black with Monza Shadow wheels, Winter pack and Bi-Xenon lights

Nice choice mate, if you had got the Scirroco the blind spot and poor rear visibility would have driven you nuts !
