What is the correct service interval for Octavia vRS? as my service indicator is on after 9000 miles and the car is only 9 months old. Is this right?

It is if the car is set to fixed service intervals. Fixed service intervals is every 15000km (which equates to around 9300 miles) or 12 months, whichever comes first.

Variable service intervals are a maximum of 2 years and upto around 19000 miles (depending on how the car has been driven)

I insisted on variable servicing otherwise my car would be at the dealers every few weeks (18 months old and over 40K on the clock now), my first service was at 18400 miles and the second at 37800...
