That is the uprated one isn't it? Does it have a partnumber on it or something else to confirm?

iirc the serial number and part numbers are eteched onto the rear ( contact ) face ( i.e. needs to be removed )

Apart from the colour, there aren't any physical differences

The Blue Haldex one of the two uprated controllers you can get. The other being the HPA Orange unit ( aimed at track use ).

Basically it has a stronger pump which allows the haldex clutch to be enaged faster and harder.

This means roughly 20% more power can be transfered to the rear wheels.

The Blue controller also enages the haldex on acceleration, and generally leaves the clutch engaged harder for longer ( this is good :smirk: )

Was thinking that too. Could buy it whole at that price and then sell the diff on with the standard haldex fitted ...

That's why they are advertising the haldex + controller for 450

If they knew it was a blue controller, they'd want more

tbh you'd probably get more for the two separately

Simple. Just buy it, swap the haldex ecu and relist in black and white. ;-)

... now they're thinking to themselves 'why does someone want just the controller ? ...'

someone does a little googling ... item gets withdrawn, two new listings appear: blue haldex = 450, haldex clutch = 350

If I'd had had 450 spare I'd buy it, split the parts and sell them on !

What I need to do is keep an eye out for the postman. ;)

I take mr/mrs postman will be dragging a big heavy parcel

Probably worth getting a new haldex pump gasket - iirc < £10

I had my haldex oil changed at the same time

You'll have to write up your opinions as to how you feel it's changed the car. Mine came with the Blue fitted, so I don't have a comparison to standard.

Can't wait to get it fitted. I'll try to order a new gasket tomorrow. Had the oil and filter changed in my diff only a few weeks ago so don't think that will need doing again.

See if I can get it fitted next week. Can't do Monday though, getting my Shark remap done.
