Featured Replies

anyone know the best wax / polish for black octavia faded paint

ive always used autoglm super resin polish but dont seem to be making much difference

ordered some autoglm paint renovator came today only tries it quick with cloth dont seem much good either

was thinking about the turtlewax black box anyone used this

or maybe getting a car polisher machine any trying the resin polish again

only seems to be bad on the 2 front wings

also anything good for stone chips on the bonnet

thx

i would contact baker 21 on here and get him to do a full correction detail for the money it imo is the best way and WILL transform the car especially with the black magic paint.

he will also give you a run down on the best products to use and why !!!

hope this helps

Would you be able to get us a picture? Because what you define as faded might be a simple... oh! I know how to fix that moment.

TBH a good start it always a clay bar. Car deepen paint and bring back gloss rather well and it is a better surface to polish on afterwards. IMO I wouldn't waste my money on Turtle wax and stuff like that. Doesn't hold up as well as other products that cost a bit more.

I have a BMP vRS as well and I am very anal about cleaning my car. So if you want to know in more detail how I clean mine. Feel free to ask and I will show you photos of it in its current state and you can match yours to mine.

What sort of sctaches are we talking about? Light swirling or down through the paint?

Upload them via photo bucket then post them on here.

Black hole is a glaze with fillers, not a polish, it should be used after polishing,

and use a pad http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/sonus/sfx-pro-applicator-2-pack.aspx like this for polishing by hand for better results than microfiber

quick win : autoglym super resin polish

Your better off using PB EX-P sealent with BlackHole instead of Dodo juice. Keep it in the family as they say.

The whole point about polishing a car irs to remove all the concealers you have P1 is brilliant any proper polish,( not a fake concealer like that colour magic rubbish will do the same. P1is the safest polish on the market , be very carefull with your rotary . So what polish are you going to use, because blue velvet is a WAX

i used a maguires detailing kit on my black magic octavia vrs yesterday. clay, polish then finally wax. came up a treat
