rear parking sensors beeeeeeeeeeeeep! help please.

Just kicked in today; when i select reverse, the sensor sounds a continuous beeeeeeeeeep! i have washed the car in case its dirt, no change.I rang local skoda (claybank) who said it would cost £90 to diagnose and then whatever on top to fix :doh: I did a quick search on brisky but no thread relevant. Anyone had this problem or ideas how to fix please? Car is MK2 octy vrs.

It's warning you have a bad sensor. VCDS will tell you which one. It's worth checking the connections, but most of the time it is a faulty sensor.

If you put the Ignition on but don't start the car, select reverse and then go and put your ear to each sensor you can hear them tick you could detect which one it is that is faulty.

It may have a fast tick ( or what ever noise it makes )
