Hi all, new here so hello! I've got a bit of a question regarding my 53 plate Fabia 1.9TDi Elegance. I've had it 18 months now and the damn thing hasn't let me down once, save for a bulb! My question is this; will a Fabia VRs gearbox marry up to my engine, as I believe there was a 6 speed box on the VRs versions? My cambelt is about to be renewed, the brakes have been done and I was thinking of puttin stiffer shocks on. Reason being I am considering getting someone to "unleash" some more horses from under the bonnet, (for increased MPG, obviously) ;-) I just thought a 6 speed box would be better for cruisng speeds. Any help greatly appreciated :-) As an aside, I almost bought a Polo 1.9TDi, sooooooooo fookin glad I didn't!

should be fine as devonutpias car was originally a 100bhp 1.9tdi

You may need to change a few othwr things but hopefully some with more knowledge than me will give you a better answer.
