RADIO CODING....

Featured Replies

Sure it's been covered before on here but can't find it.

Im trying to get the OE radio/CD player to work in my Fabia vRS mk1.

I blew the fuse while removing a hands-free kit left in by the previous owner - fuse replaced, then went through the procedure for 'comfort-coding' to no avail. I took the car to my local dealer, paid £33.60 and came away with the code (or a code of some sort) but no radio working. I was told I would have to leave the HU switched on for an hour before putting the code in. I have tried this a couple of times but no radio.

I believe I am doing it correctly according to the manual but not sure. Can someone help me before I take to it with a hammer?

Try posting this in both the ICE section and the Fabia MKI section.....you will get a better response!!! B)

P.S. there is a link to the old OEM HIFI manuals on this website so use the seach function!

fabdavrav, Hi regarding the Radio in my Fabia VRS, when we took it out we forgot to empty the Changer, so had a big panic looking for the Radio code, now I think I'm correct in saying that your ECU remembers the original code for the original Radio. I did not have a code it just recognised the Radio and came in to life straight away.
