Cupra lip fitment guide for pre-FL vRS?

Featured Replies

Is anyone able to provide a fitment guide or howto or provide pics on how they have attached the Cupra lip onto their pre-facelift vRS?

You need to cut a few mm off the two central upright struts to make them level with the sides, or flush to the profile of the bumper-a hacksaw will do fine.

After that it's just self tappers and washers all the way! The holes will be right under the bumper, so if you need to realign a few times it ain't the end of the world!

A second pair of hands will help when bending the outsides to the bumper profile & fixing.

Is there a chance that you could cut out the centre part leaving the 2 sides to fit independently, that way you could have them sitting a bit further out and colour code them....?

I like your thinking, but the splitter kind of tapers away too narrow at the sides I reckon? The cut parts in the centre would need a bit of smoothing too.

Feel free to be the guinea-pig, they're not exactly expensive...:p

I might get one to have a play with, rather than losing the middle part I may add a filler to increase the width and see how that looks, if it is looks pants I will go for the first idea. ;)

Its exactly the same as fitting it on a fabia :)I think the guide and pics are in the "how to " bit....if not use the search function...but be warned the term " cupra R splitter" wont show up there!!...Took me aboutten mins of searching the first time!!
