stupid question on a friday, but is anyone elses steering wheel not level?

i'd take a photo, but on the right you can see all of right-hand stalk and more, whilst on the left its disappeared behind the steering wheel.

should the steering wheel be totally level?

It sounds a bit like some 'sole has "corrected" the tracking by winding all the necessary turns on or off on one side. Have a look at the tierods and see if one has lots more exposed threads than the other!

wouldn't suprise me, will have a look later

i only noticed it the other day, thought it was bit odd, the car pulls to the left so maybe explains the attempted correction

will stick up photo once out of endless meetings

Not a stupid question, I have exactly the same problem.

Get a four wheel laser alignment and mention the steering wheel is out of alignment... Job done

First check if one of the front suspension springs hasn't broken.

Mine slightly out too.
