Octavia vRS Engine noise

I notice on viewing the forum that there have been alot of previous posts which refer to the Octavia vRS making engine noises whilst sat ticking over at idle. I am advised this is a valve and a charcoil canister regarding fuel omissions. I am told it is designed to make a ticking noise.

My six month old Octavia vRS has this problem where it makes a loud, unacceptable ticking noise whilst sat at idle. It appears that alot of the vRS range have this characteristic, has anyone solved the problem. Like me, I am sure that you have had disputes with Skoda. Comments please send to [email protected].
