No acceleration!

Featured Replies

My vRS has decided, at 3500 miles and three months old to break already. I was driving it, slowly as I was slowing down to turn at a junction, and I heard a single 'clunk' noise come from the engine. After that there is very very little acceleration. It's definitely not drivable. I don't know if it's the turbo blown or what. Phoning Skoda tomorrow. Anyone else had this happen?

Big clunk - supercharger belt broken?

I have no idea what the clunk is from, but it sure as hell sounds like it's in limp-home mode.

Best thing to do : drop it off for repair =/.

Yeah I think it's the the supercharger. It has no power until you hit around 2500-3000 revs and then it starts to kick in, which I assume is when the Turbo takes over? Got Skoda Assistance coming down before half 5 today to have a look. Guessing it'll need towed to the dealers and I'll be asking for a courtesy car or something. I need mobility! (Still, if it's going to happen at all I'm glad it's happened within the warranty period and during the off-time from university)

Guy has just been out and let me know that the supercharger hose had came loose. He told me he's 'centralised' it, re-attached it and everything is working good. So glad it's not a big problem :)

Good to know it was a quick fix
