Skoda octavia 1.9PD TDi 2007

Featured Replies

I have just had a new clutch kit and flywheel installed as well as having my old gearbox reconditioned( all new bar rings, etc). As soon as I took it out for a test drive, I have noticed that the clutch was extremely soft.and that when engaged in the 1st gear and moving, a noise was noticeable coming from the posterior side. I have also noticed that the car was lacking the power that I was used to have previous to having all this work done,as if there is a brake applied continuously or as if the transmission is not working properly.

Another problem I had recently was the EGR management light on,with no particular problems until a week ago, when the engine stopped working normally,1 out of 4 pistons was not functional. I had my mechanic have a look at it,got the fuel system cleaned and got it back working for another week or so. During this time I had only experienced one similar problem early morning, while going up a steep bridge, however, once I had stopped and restarted again, the problem disappeared like magic.

I have just had extensive work being done on it and while on a test drive the engine problem returned again. ( to point out that no problem was noticed while engine was cold).

My mechanic advised me to search for and purchase a G82 sensor.

Update on 25.07.11

Had the gasket removed and swooped places between injector 1& 2; it looks ok! for now,but the noise from clutch is still there while engaged in gear 1

Can anyone help please? I am using this car for work and I am stacked at th moment due to this problem. Any help will be very much appreciated.
