desperate for Help

Featured Replies

as Mentioned I have a 55 reg, never had any problems with it... Driving home friday, gave way to someone went over the speed bump, my battery light flashed on and my car died... I thought it had stalled tried to re start it with no joy...

I have power in the car, when key is in my dash lights all come on and off no warning lights stay on or anything. I have replaced the battery after getting that checked, also had the starter motor replaced and still wont start.

The car seems to want to start there is a slight sound as if it wants to turn over but theres not enough power..

Please can someone help as Im running out of Ideas?!?!?!?

You're running out of ideas? I have absolutely no idea what you need help with other than that it's a Fabia and it's a few years old which narrows things down a bit!

Go round the engine bay and make sure all the electrical connectoers are connected, it sounds like something important has come unplugged.....

Checked fuses?

Checked for damage under the car?

i no its simple but check leads to the spark/glow plugs, seen it before where a hard jolt has dislodged them and might not get a good connection ....

Has it got fuel in it?

A little more infi would help a lot.

Does the engine turn over or not, if not is battery fully charged, engine earth lead intact, starter wired correctly.

If engine is turning over ok check all plugs and connectors around engine, as the failure occured going over a speed bump.

Has safety cut out switch (if fitted ) activated

Have you hit the sump on the road and dropped your load ;)

I not totaly sure but i think it could be the earth problem

Yea some T**T from the council mounded it up and called it a speed bump
