Dartmoor Roads

Featured Replies

Hi,

Even though i go to Torquay about 2 or 3 times a year and i've been over Dartmoor on the bus, i've never actually driven over it properly and managed to explore all the little scenic roads. Does anyone know of any good roads to drive down for scenic views please?? B)

Thanks. ;)

Dartmoor changes in character North West to South East

The North West is far more rugged and wild, whilst the South East is much softer.

The B3357 divides Dartmoor North/South between Tavistock and Newton Abbot

You get a pretty good cross section of the type scenery Dartmoor has to other. lots of places to stop etc.

You could return to Torquay via the western edge, taking in somewhere like Burrator Reservoir

Dartmoor isn't a good place for fast driving - 40mph speed limit + demented ponies & sheep
