My Octavia vRS mk2

Featured Replies

Hi folks.

I'm Scaifey and this is my first Skoda. If you would of asked me 20 years ago I would of said the same as everyone else, they are rubbish. I remember when I was really young my Grandad telling me they always started when it was cold after his 1979 Cavalier failed to start one winter and we had a jump from a Skoda! But along with anyone else who knows anything about cars they now cut it with the rest of the motoring world. As for my car, it is an 08 Black Magic vRS which I bought from Motorline Skoda in Canterbury. Dealer was pretty good, but not the best sales experience I've been through. Felt more like I was rushed through, as if the older customer had priority? (I'm 30 though)!!

I have so far done 500 happy trouble free miles but I am left wanting a little more oommph. I have been reading the forum for a few days now and I am quite interested in the pre-cat removal mod, sounds like a bit of a bargain oommph gain? Also a re-map will be on the cards but unsure for now as I have a years warrenty with Skoda and don't think they would honour it should something go wrong.

Anyhow I hope this forum is a friendly as my previous one (cavalier turbo) and here is a pic of the motor. When I find a better location I'll get some better pictures up.
