Advisory Notices

Featured Replies

Just had second service and MOT on my Fabia vRS after just over 45K miles on an 07 plate. Turned out to be a pricy one as it failed on two front suspension arm console bushes. On top of that had a list of advisories which I know Skoda recommend at varying intervals. Just want to know if anyone knows how much I can expect to pay for the following:

  • timing belt and water pump replacement
  • air conditioning service
  • brake fluid service

Also had a cam shaft position sensor signal fault code in the ECU which was cleared. Could this be related to the timing belt needing replacement?

Thanks

You are lucky enough to have Unit 18 on your door step. Have a read on here, the reviews speak for themselves, and i`m pretty confident Alistair will be the cheapest by far over anywhere else. I think the cambelt is around £300, not sure on the others, but give him a bell and he`ll sort you a price. http://www.unit18.co.uk/

Dont mean to sound like a advert, but he really is great :giggle:

About 300-350 quid for a timing belt change..

To get the aircon serviced probably around 50 or 60 quid

Although. I've never heard of anybody getting an advisory notice on any of those items to be honest

Thanks for the advice. The advisory was for the service schedule not the MOT.

Thanks! Yes, I have heard of Unit 18 through the forum before. I'm assuming you don't work for them.

It's every four years or 80K miles for the belt change. I've only got 46K miles on the clock which seems a long way off but I suppose it's better to be safe than sorry.

I've just had my brake fluid changed today... £45.00
