i have a 2004 1.8t vrs

what boost gauge to you recomend or does it make much difference

was looking at a few on ebay

does it need 30psi or is 20psi enough as havent a clue

cant afford a lot as not working at the mo

have been told best to get on as i think i have a air leak somewhere

20psi should be ok. If you are intending on keeping the turbo standard a remap will only hike boost from 9-10 psi to around 19psi.

Any mechanical gauge will be fine as long as its not too cheap as they tend to be inaccurate. ideally get one which reads upto 25 or 30 psi.

I have the NewSouth Mk4 TurboPod kit on mine, with the VDO Vision gauge (30 In.Hg - 25 PSI) and green LED.

Awesome can get the kits for you, and it includes literally everything you need.

Really useful for fault diagnosis.
