Only problem we would need someone who is a member of the site concerned and to order a minimum of fifty of these units to qualify for any purchase.

If any of you guys are familiar with the site concerned please get a poll organised and email seller to see if Joe Soap can actually buy them.

If your successful in ordering these please put me down for a pair as I am seriously interested :D

Goodluck

Regards

PAUL

How does this thread get five stars when it has 0 views and 0 replies? :wonder:

You've also got to ask are these legal for use in the UK anyway? I doubt they are CE certified..........

they look a little 'busy' not for me Im afraid

I first looked into these about a year ago.

I am a member of a site where I can buy things at wholesale prices and the lights you link to are one such item I can order.

However the very best offer I've managed to get is 25 units.

But I'm not even considering it until I can find a company willing to sell me a single set so I can test them.

I spoke with somebody who thinks that although they are a China OEM product, they would still trip the bulb warnings on the UK model.

So resistors would still need to be fitted.

If you can find a company willing to sell a single set for testing first then please let me know as I'm happy to be the guinea pig.

Not putting my nae down for anything until I know they work.

Not really if the car is a FL they you just need the correct code in BYTE 18 (09-Central Electronics) :nerd:

But not for me anyways :p

I do trading in Taiwan and china as a job.

Usually sourcing parts for other companys and sometimes myself.

Anyway there are lots of resellers/scammers in China and taiwan, the simple rule is this:

If they require a minimum order, they are NOT the factory.

The reason for this is one of 2 things:

1) they steal your deposit money and give you nothing in return, ignore their high ratings on those websites, they are mostly fake.

2) they are buying from the real factory and the only way they make enough money is by selling quantity.

I can go on the chinese ebay and find the actual shop selling these retail for you so you can just pick up a single set if you want?.

Factorys are a pain in the ass to deal with over here

Plenty of threads on these lights both on the Octavia and Superb forums.

The general concensus is that they are genuine OEM Skoda but for the Chinese market only, and are therefore not E Marked and as a result not legal for use on UK roads.

However, the very fact that they are OEM together with the fact that LED tail lights are now very popular I doubt the Police or local MOT tester will be making any special effort to look for the E-Mark, it's not like they are the clear, Halfords specials fitted to a lowered Vauxhall Corsa!

I actually think they look smart (and I am a stickler for keeping the OEM look) but they are only available for the hatch not the estate.

Have you tried superskoda?

The only place I've found selling rear LED light sets are the Dectane ones (dectane.de)

However they only fit the Estate - not the Hatch.

Hi,

just to share with you guys, i have bought a pc from china for testing and indeed like what bro here have mention, the error check light is on. For mounting wise, it will fit our new facelifted sedan Octavia. This is a standard tail light in China. I am trying to figure out the resistor value for this. I will be glad if someone can advice me the resistor value. Will keep you guys updates B)

Lastly please note that the price shown in the website is in pieces not pair.
