VRS rear camber adjustment

Featured Replies

Is it easy to alter the rear camber in an 08 VRS?

ie is it an adjustment or are new parts needed?

Struggling to find a place that will do it in Northern Ireland

anybody have more info?

thanks

It's a standard adjustment operation, as part of a proper 4-wheel alignment.

Try http://www.alignmycar.co.uk and see if there are any NI agents. All of those garages use a Hunter machine for alignment, which are decent.

All you do it rotate the top inner bolts on the suspension arm and it adjusts.

Good job, that's what i wanted to hear, hope to get the rear camber set to about 1 degree 10

That's quote a bit under spec, I wouldn't go less than 1 degree 20'

Thought the updated spec was 1degree 20' +/- 30'

Technically yes I think it is for anything other than vRS which is -1 degree 50' +|- 30'

But I normally set up equal for bang on spec, seems to help with rear tyres on normal loading.

-1 degree 50 is too much. Mine is currently at that and the outside of the tread isnt even touching the ground

the updated camber is -1 degree 15 plus or minus 5 on the VRS

For the normal models it is -0 dgrees 50 plus or minus 10

Those are guideline figures and it all depend on your driving style, load, tyres and some others. There are ways to utilize more neg camber with more toe in (depending on your driving style)

Set spec to you and your vehicle not other way around.
