Hi,

I have been having some gear changing issues recently and was wondering if anyone could help.

The problem shows when changing from 1st into 2nd. I sometimes get a grinding noise, like I Havent changed properly. It doesn't do this all the time, only about 5% of the time.

Yesterday it made a funny noise when going from 2nd to 3rd. Again, it only did it twice. it hasn't done it today.

I have had the 1st to 2nd issue fot a while, but it dosnt do it to often, but when it does it will do it again not long after.

I'm hoping that this isn't something really expensive, but from what I've read it looks like it might be!

Could anyone shed some light on the matter before I phone the garage?

Took it into my garage.

Where the cable comes out and goes into the gear selector it was bone dry, no oil at all.

It's been given a good oiling and the problem has seemed to have gone away.
