Failes MOT

Featured Replies

As the title says, my Skoda Fabia Comfort 1.4 (2002) failed it's MOT. The reason for refusal of a test certificate was that the 'Nearside front Anti-roll bar linkage has excessive play in a bull joint'. Could somebody here help me with what part I need to get for replacing? Would I be able to get it on ebay? Cheers.

It sounds like the drop links.

The about £10 each I think and are a piece of cake to replace

Not sure which I should be ordering?

reading again are you sure it's not 'Ball joint'? not bull? but to me that's a drop link issue but worth checking with the garage

Yes it's 'Ball joint' my spelling mistake.

The main ball joint is on the bottom arm but as you mention the ARB linkage then it will be the droplink.

The droplink basically has a ball joint on each end and attaches on to the ARB and the shock absorber.

If your replacing one then you may aswell do the other while your at it.

Anti-roll bar links is what you want from this page: http://www.vwspares.co.uk/fabiasuspension.php

It says only 1 in stock but would be worth phoning them to make sure although they may be cheaper on euro car parts ?
