Internet Explorer users have lower IQ

-always knew this to be the case

Especially so for those IT managers who decide Internet Exploter will the 'Corporate' web-browser

It's generally the corp browser as its easy to snoop and block content using Windows profiles where as FireFox, chrome etc don't interact with Windows profiles to the same extent.

We've also got in-house stuff which was designed for IE, so doesn't operate properly on other platforms.

So in a corporate environment anyway, it's not quite as clear cut as some would have you believe...

I used to be the mug SOB who took jobs to come in and convert such badly/lazily written apps to work cross-platform

I've been employed by companies to write cross-browser apps, but then had to argue with the IT department to be allowed to install Firefox & Opera on the development machine :wall: ...

What's Internet Explorer? :dull:

I feel your pain....

I get to replicate customers issues so often use different environments - Most are using IE. emoticon-0106-crying.gif

Same here - IE is raved about... make it work in IE.. *******s to the others..

Maybe its just me, but i can never be bothered to change from IE. Its always done everything its expected to, it always works, and because i keep it up to date i never get security issues.

Im surrounded by people with multiple browsers, and they are forever moaning about things not working, or changing browsers to get something working. Seems pointless to me.

Quite the opposite from me. It runs extremly slowly compared to others (I'm currently using Chrome), it crashes constantly and has a massive memory leak. As for security, it's so easy to get info from IE without the user ever knowing, hence a lot of corporate use.

I have only ever had problems with IE and no other browser I have used.

I presume this means "people who use Internit Exploder voluntarily have lower IQs?"

The ironic thing is that when I started to work on behalf of a particular company I had to use IE because their system would not work with anything else. I have been using Firefox for years so it was a real pain to try and figure out how IE worked. Then when we all upgraded to the latest version of IE their software was having problems with it and they suggested that we should use Firefox instead! Apparently they were not aware of the 'compatability' mode (shouldn't that actually be called incompatibility mode).

Happy days.....
