They both came out with 4 stars, but the details on the above two pages explain exactly what happened to the dummies when they tested the cars...

Funny how these things are all of a sudden 'hot' news, as Top Gear spent last week showing us the results of several popular cars involved in the same crash... That put things nicely in perspective for me... Glad to see the tavia come out with 4 stars... who cares about pedestrians?

And did you see them crash that Megane? I was seriously impressed.

What worries me with the Octavia is that the frontal score was only 63% (from memory). It was the side impact score that pushed up the rating. I've also got side bags so a bit more protection there, but I would have hoped for better frontal protection. Maybe OctyII (or is it III) will be better.

The guy in the Megane must have had balls the size of Jupiter! What a confidence... or should I say... lack of intelligence?
