Stage 3 Mk2 Octavia VRS

Featured Replies

Standard Looking Mk2 Octavia VRS stage 3 “ Wolf in Sheeps Clothing".

Im putting my modified Octavia II vRS up for sale. There are a couple of things to note. Firstly Its such a well sorted car I would prefer to sell it as is. If I get too desperate for money I will revert back to standard and put a new for sale thread up regarding performance parts for sale. Secondly this is a genuine reluctant sale, if I can source alternative finances I'll be keeping the car.

The car came up for sale from a previous Brisky member and was too good not to buy. I have since spent a fair amount of time and money making it even better and wanted to experience how good the mk2 vrs can be even if it meant I couldnt ultimately keep it. As those that know me well enough can testify money isnt the first priority when it comes to my cars and I make sure they are in first class order. This really is the best car Ive ever had.

The history of the car is: 1st owner Bickertons Skoda in Sheffield then bought and modified to a very high standard by Bruce on the forum (Uncle Bulgaria) and was a well known car for its ground breaking mods and high standard. Then bought by me early 2010 and modified to stage 3 with all the necessary bits required. I will use some of Bruces add to illustrate the mods I have added to the car.

Heres what Ive got to offer:

Skoda dealer fit removable tow bar with split charge

Condition:

I agree with the description from Bruce when I bought the car and he said:

"Id say the condition is excellent, (if I was looking for a SH MkII Id buy it, and Im fussy!) with little in the way of marks or wear and tear to show its age/mileage. There are a few stone chips on the nose and a couple of very tiny scratches (neighbours cat?) on the rear bumper." There is also a small car park ding in one of the doors.

All of the manuals in the Skoda folder, both keys and an extensive history file with receipts.

BONUS: The sale includes most of the original parts that were removed for the conversion (except rear exhaust section & front grille), so should the new owner be interested, they can revert to standard and sell on the parts, or just sell them as spares.

Despite all the modifications, its never been track day run or thrashed. This is our main family car & my work car when I have meetings out of town. Therefore much of its mileage has been motorway work with a few short town trips. Im an enthusiastic driver and a car nut, and as such Ive attended to its needs. Requires nothing doing at all. All general servicing/maintence work completed and up to date.

Since my ownership Ive spent well over £4,500 and I bought the car for £8,500 so as you will see from the asking price for a car of this calibre with no further mods to do (apart from maybe a LSD if you really wanted to emoticon-0100-smile.gif ) its a realistic price. I have also had some preventative work carried out on the car all done by professional. Things like the throttle body removed and cleaned and a few other things that I cant remember right now but are itemised on VAT invoices. The car really does need nothing and is mechanically in top condition.

UPDATE: 03/10/11 - Fitted brand new genuine OEM heater fan as the old one was occasionally not working on full power. No longer an issue. Brand new uprated performance Sachs clutch. "Tweaked" remapp to provide maximum smoothness and performance emoticon-0103-cool.gif

UPDATE: 10/12/11 - New 12 month MOT. No issues reported what so ever, passed without any comments or advisorys. MOT done at main dealer who also changed/replaced the coil packs under recall. Also professionally fitted fuse and power for amp in boot. 12" sub and amp combo fitted which is easily removal (in less than 1 min, approx 20-30 seconds) if you need more space in the boot. Doesnt take up much room at all and I have not needed to remove it. Difference to the sound quality is fantastic emoticon-0103-cool.gif

UPDATE: JUNE 2012 - Full Skoda service and new aircon pump fitted including full system check and re-gas. ITG CAI system fitted by Shark and map tweaked to gain full benefit.

UPDATE: 01/12/12 - New 12 month MOT. Passed without any comments or advisorys. New pilotsport3 tyre fitted so all tyres now virtually new. Mileage now at approx 67k.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. Please PM me as I dont always have internet access and at least I will be notified if I have PM and can respond ASAP. Many Thanks.

What a shame your having to sell it Mark, I know how much you love the car... but needs must I suppose :(

I concur what Mark says about the car, it's a beauty and well looked after by him, and indeed Bruce before.

Whoever buys this will get one pampered and very capable motor

GLWTS mate

Regards

Damo

Stunning example, in first-class condition. I knew the car when it was in Bruce's ownership and I know what Mark's like with cars as well

The very best of luck with the sale. It deserves to sell given the condition and modifications made

What a shame Mark :(

Good luck with the sale, I'm sure someone will be lucky enough to buy it from you

Hope to see you at the Shark meet on the 29th?

Cheers guys

Its a crazy situation because even though ive already lost a fair bit of money and I love the car I have to at least give it a shot. Banks have basically stopped lending money and this is my only option becuase the mk1 wont give me enough cash  Plus no one is buying jack at ATM. Would rather not put it back to standard but thats an option if necessary.

I may be lucky and get to keep the car B)

Damo any luck with selling your Mondeo? I may be interested if mine sells ;)

Had a few enquiries Mark, and a lad at work is seriously interested... but it's still here at the moment

Could possibly work out a px deal, with cash my way of course :D

Seriously though, I hope you manage to source alternate funds for the kitchen, so you can keep her...but if not, I hope another Briskodian buys it so it stays on the forum, where a car of this calibre deserves to be

Cheers

Damo

A little bumpage........ :p

Looks a lovely car

Check out Wren for your kitchen its owned by Ebuyer.com

Great quality and no stupid prices and arrives already built.

We got stupid prices from Kutchenhaus, B&Q etc.

Bet you spend more time in your car than you do the kitchen!

  • Author

Thanks for the heads up. I have a quote from Wren and quality looks to be comparable and the kitchen price was competitive but the fitting charge was expensive.

Only really useful for folks local to Sheffield but I eneded up placing the order with Sheffield Kitchen Interiors (Tel: 0114 274 7288)who so far have been excellent and the price including fitting was competitive.

So i'm still driving around in my kitchen

Theres some other preventative maintanence ive also had carried out as well I.E. throttle body removed and cleaned and some other work completed by professionals.

PM me if any interest B)

Wonder what SWMBO would think about swapping our kitchen for your brakes emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

wow theres a lot of cars for sale ATM. Bump for my motor?

There's nothing more I can add but I remember looking at this when Bruce owned it and it was far from Excelent condition, the car was Cleaner and in Better condition than alot of brand new cars

If I needed another car this would be the one I would buy

  • Author

Thanks for the kind words Matt :)

Bump for Mark and one awesome car that needs nothing but a new home

Been a bit busy of late. Havent been on Brisky for a while so heres a bump.

Will update with current mileage when I get home..... Updated: 16.01.12 - Approx 64,000.

Child No: 2 on the way so time to free up some money and get the house finished :(

Would love to sell the car as is because its the perfect car.

My back up plan will be to put back to standard if I get too desperate for cash :giggle:

Just for the record it has never done a track day or been abused but I have today joined the list for the brisky time trial day if it goes ahead and I can make the date.

If there is any genuine interest please PM me.

Awesome car, only wish I had funds for it. GLWTS! B)

Speechless, that car is perfect!

Edit: Is the front bumper an aftermarket modification?

Edit: Is the front bumper an aftermarket modification?

Apart from an KO4 conversion and LSD theres little else that can be done to it and I wanted to keep the standard look B)

The bumper is standard apart from the chrome edged lower centre grill

The intakes either side of the front fogs look different to mine. I'm very annoyed about this. I paid almost as much for mine 27.07.11... wish I'd waited and seen this!
