Will not mention the dealer by name but,3 days sent the dealership concerned an email asking about the mieage on the Yeti they had up for sale on the SUK used car locater.Received an automatic response email cofirming my enquiry and'someone will be back in touch with me shortly'.

Have I heard anything back?.Eh ,no what a surprise!.

This is about the ninth Skoda dealer I have emailed and am still waiting for a reply.

Yes,then its 'no one is available at the moment,leave your phone number and we will get back to you' and of course no one does.

At least with an email you are in the system and the dealer cannot deny you have been in touch.

We haven't got a used Yeti at the moment, got a couple of brand new ones that I could do you a good deal on though!!

It's symptomatic of a dealer who can't be bothered with any more Yeti orders due to the delivery delays. Presumably they find it too difficult to work out a fair P/X when the sale might be 6 months away.

Skoda UK are no better as they can't be bothered to put out a error-free brochure or website, or to provide the options that buyers want even when they're available at VW, SEAT and Audi!

I was very interested in the Yeti, and my dealer is very sympathetic to my views, but I've gone back to VW instead and ordered a VW Golf Plus SE 1.6TDI DSG! Better economy than a Yeti, better space than a Yeti, and the only drawback is the VW won't offer Xenons on any Golfs except GTI/GTDs! (With £1250 VW discount, dealer discount plus 0% finance over 3 years!)

I've a personal plate that I need to transfer to the new car, and so went with the P/X offer from VW Stafford even though I suspect they were quoting the value of a 1.9TDI L&K and not the 2.0TDI that I've got as it's a guaranteed valuation regardless of any delays in VW making my Golf Plus for me. (Glass's Guide doesn't seem to quote my car!
