Ah...that makes more sense. I have the internal bike rack and the standard no spare wheel option bits which I use when transporting the bikes, otherwise I have the spare in the car with the raised floor.

I have the with spare option & bikes easily fit:

Bikes going on the roof later this week (when I get the rack fitted). Inside space needed for the dog. He could probably ride on the roof, but fear he'll scratch the paintwork trying to hang on. :giggle:

I think I'd rather have them behind on the towbar. Less wind resistance. The Strada like Merlinman has would do the trick perfectly.

Oh I agree, BUT that Strada is VERY pricey! Over £325!!!!!! So my racks on top will suffice for now or if I have the space inside as shown in the photo above they can travel there.

Don't have a towbar since I have no intention of towing anything; and in any event, would then not be able to open the boot without unloading the bikes ... pretty inconvenient if all I want to do is let the dog out for a pee!

That's the beauty of the Strada, it slides away from the car without having to take the bikes off......I want one. (can't afford it mind you!)...

Perfect for me to release the two terrierists from their travel cage :)

In use every weekend with two mucky bikes - now on 3rd car.

It is an expensive bit of kit, but supports my main leisure activity. Compare the cost with a season ticket to a Premiership Wendyball match

Oh, OK ... that's clever.
