Yeti is in the Bodyshop

Featured Replies

Just took my Yeti to the bodyshop to have warranty work sorted out on the paint stripping problem on the front bumper. It has been diagnosed as a lack of paint on the bumper, but the reason why it strips is still a mystery. Paint on top of right DRL is totally stripped whilst the one of the left is turning black.

They gave me a Toyota Aygo to drive for the time being, it's got Bluetooth!

Just gave the Aygo back and brought back my Yeti from Yarm!

Grown to like the Aygo more and more but just happy to be back in the Yeti. Respray was done well, couldn't spot any "over run" (paint over run?) and they seem to have only painted the front section of the bumper as the stonechip from the side is still there, don't know how they do it, but the job was done well - very happy.

I can actually start understanding why they think the Yeti is quiet, jumping out of the Aygo and back to the Yeti, it is definitely very quiet. It has always been very quiet on good motorway.

It is all relative....I came from a 530d to the Octavia and though it was very noisy in comparison, but remember the 530d had 50mm of sound insulation under the carpets, the Octavia about 4mm....difference between a £15000 car and a £40,000 car. what do I expect?

Compared to my old Polo and Octavia, the Yeti is quiet. Having not driven any competitors, I would expect the Yeti to be on par with them.

Indeed, it is all relative. I have always been critical of the road noise of the Yeti, having driven cars that have virtually none. But I have known that this is due to the tires as many on this forum commented that their's are quiet. Would be changing tires when time comes!

Yes. I put Michelin Primacy HP on the Octavia and they made a big difference.
