Felicia Pickup

Featured Replies

Recently bought a Pickup for my work. I have treated her to the following:-

Cam belt & service, paint tailgate/sills/rear panels/rear mountings & rebadged. New: chrome tail pipe, side indicators, wheels & tyres, windscreen.

She is due privacy glass & ICE. And I have a couple of questions...

Will seats from any other vehicle (eg VW Seat) slot straight in to the pickup?

After heavy rain, I found a swimming pool in the back of the loading bay. Are the rubber bungs a clue? How do they work? Can they be removed and unblocked?

(I think I have downloaded a photo of the pickup so far in the gallery area)

The rubber bungs in the load area you mention are actually a short piece of tube with a slight kink in it, they always get blocked up with stones and crud and leaves... Just lever them out with a flat bladed screwdriver.

as for the seats, i think you'll be quite limited if you just want to bolt them in but cant be that difficult to weld new brackets up to any seat which physically fits. Personally i went for the leather felicia l&k seats which have done me very well over the years

Thanks for the advice.

I'm struggling to find a steering wheel boss that can turn off the indicators when fitted?

And are their any Czech/German/Polish auto companies that can supply parts/accessories to the UK at good prices?

The bossvfrom a mk3 golf is the same, although you do need to attack it with a file to make it cancel properly

Can I ask you where you got the tonneau cover for your pick up. Thanks

When I picked mine up I also found a swimming pool in the back - the drain pipes had been plugged with metal bungs!!!! :o :o

Needless to say they were immediately ditched. :)

The tonneau cover came with & the van. The van also came with a Truckman top, plastic load liner, & original tools & tool bag. The van was all original, until I got hold of it.

If the tonneau covers are hard to come by, I wont be leaving my cover on the van!
