Hello everyone

New member here with a mk1 Fabia 1.4 16v

We have wanted one of these for years since buying a 1997 Felicia in 2001 from Dm Keith in Leeds and having a new Fabia when the Felicia went in for a service

We have bought it from some friends of ours for next to nothing as it had a water pump fail whilst the car was been driven. Even though it was in a traffic jam so very low revving it still damaged the timing belt and i'm sure all or most of the valves.

We are now members of the Skoda owners club and keen to get Bobik on the road

No we didn't name the car. The former owners are keen Liverpool fans and she wanted to call the car Bob after Bob Paisley but her husband been from Prague said as the car is Czech it should be Bobik as this is CZ for Bob

The car is quite well traveled in Europe for a small 11 year old family hatch. Croatia, Austria, Disney in Paris twice and of course the Czech Republic a few times

I'm trying to fix the car myself but have hit a problem and i'm a bit stuck

I'll post a new topic about that in the right place soon
