TMC Tuning box fitted

Economy feedback: I drove a route that I had previously run a few times and achieved 42-44mpg. Today I did the same route, the first time since fitting the box - 48.9mpg and that was not being as careful as I might be. The claims of up to +10% economy appear to be justified.

(Had SWMBO in the car and she commented after an overtake that the improvement in performance is noticable and quite significant)

What setting do you have it on?

What setting do you have it on?

I am not sure exactly what the setting changes. It was set on 6 as standard and tried 7 which didn't cause any problems but I can't say I noticed much difference. Is it adjustable for output or is it adjusted according to what grade of fuel you use? I have sent an e-mail to TMC for clarification.

Declared the box to my insurer today - Admiral. They only wanted an extra £37.50 for the year for increases of 11% - 25% more power. This will be made up for fourfold in the fuel savings going to and from work each year.

Definitely feels like it does, only had it on setting 7, will look for a close RR day ASAP and a trip to Santa Pod to test

I installed tmc box about a week ago. And, yes, i can feel better response(especially midrange). But I`ve checked 0-60 performance some times

and didn`t find any improvement. Have you checked yours on rolling road or compared with a ecu tuned car?

Is that calculated or going by the computer? When I got my MkI vRS remapped, the computer went from an average of 4.1% optimistic to an average of 8.7% optimistic.

What setting are you running? If there is no performance gains then you will need to send it back as it's not working correctly

I am running 6. First I gonna find someone with stock car to compare.
