Greeting from a 1st time car buyer...

Hi Everyone,

First of all, I am very please that briskoda.net provide this wonderfull forum. I believe I could receive loads of help from all of you. Thank you very much in advance.

I finally pass my driving test at the end of Dec 04, then I brought my very first car, Fabia 1.4 Comfort X reg, few weeks ago (Feb 05). Although I still always stall the engine when pulling away (because I was always driving a desiel car during driving lessons, a Mini Copper 1.4 TDI which is much easier to pull away), I am enjoying my every mins in my Fabia.

The only problem is my 2nd hand Fabia doesn't come with User Manual, but a radio manual and worldwide dealer address book only, which I thought is a user manual but it is not. It took me a while to figure out how the wipers work, but some buttoms I still have no idea what it dose, like ASR which just above the radio. So I might ask some stupid question, which might easily find the answer in user manual, hope you don't mind.

Even more worse is I scratched my Fabia badly while doing a extreme off street parking, after only one week owning my Fabia >.<

The scratches don't bother me actually, but I just worry it will get rusty. I will post a proper thread in "My Maintenance" later, soon after I took a picture of how it damaged. Hopefully some advise can be given.

See you around

Louis

Welcome to briskoda, I am sure some one will help

Welcome!best feeling in the world passing your driving test.good choice of first car too!

Welcome to Briskoda. I recommend that you order a new handbook from your local Skoda dealer. They don't cost much. And your ChipsAway local operator should be able to give you a free quote for sorting out the scratches if they are not too serious. Click here for contact details.
