changing front discs

Featured Replies

hi all, first time poster here :)

basically my gf's 1.2 2008 fabia needs the front discs and pads changed (MoT advisory). i have fixed several old cars (i own a classic mini and midget) but have never tinkered with a 'modern' car, mainly because i am scared of breaking them ( :wonder: )

i found the guide on how to replace the rear pads and discs, and just wondered if the same methodology applies to the front?

also how easy a job is it? (i have some mechanical skills)

thanks all :)

bump?

It's really easy to change discs and pads up front, it's buisness as usual there!

It even easier on the front as you don't need a rewind tool. Just take off the calipers and squeeze the pistons back in like normal. If you've worked on a mini with front discs the same rules apply. Good luck. 1 1/2 - 2 hrs easy.
