Our VRS had a replacement engine in 2007 and I wondered where I might find the engine number. There are some numbers cast into the middle of the front of the engine bock but Im not sure if that is the engine number.

Where is the engine number to be found on the ASZ engine ?

should be on the edhe of the block at the front running along side the gearbox bellhousing

Usually on the cambelt cover too, near the barcode
