Re-mapping software & where to get it?

Featured Replies

Anybody know the name of the software used to remap the Skoda ECU's and where it is available from?

Regards

Conrad

I doubt you can just get it like that, with people charging up to

If its anything like ECUTEK software for remapping Subarus its available to buy if you fit the criteria, just need to find the name of the product ;)

You can buy the Millenium programmer from Red Dot Racing.

I believe the machine will cost a couple of K's to buy and then you buy the Maps from them. These are 'off the shelf' maps though and the machine wouldn't be suitable for Rolling Road tuning.

I think this is then link but I can't get onto it at the moment - http://www.reddotracing.co.uk/eng/OBD%20Tuning/OBD%20Tuning.html

Have a crawl around and you'll find plenty of info about it

There is a UKTuning Concept reseller that I've spoken to before who will lease the kit to you.

Jabbasport use dimsport, think it's an italian company and they have a website, a quick search should find it.

You could always apply to become a revo technik reseller I guess

HI , im new , so im saying HI !!!

The Dimsport software is somewhere 6000$ only for the software , without the EPROM Emulator , so if your gonna invest 6000$ for software i think is bad. If you can make it , get a StandAlone unit you can program it like you want , but programing is not easy. It is good to have a dyno somewhere around you :D

Like i said then ;)

And then you have the software, now all you need to be able to do is read hex-decimal coding and understand what you need to re write to give more power without blowing up the engine.

Thats why remapping costs what it does, its not the physical cost, your paying for the experiance and the time someone has spent writing the code and testing it.

I looked at the DIMSPORT software, it was 2500 Euros. You then get access to generic maps. You do not need to be able to read hex, it's all drag and drop with a mouse :D

I believe that even Jabbasport with all their experience of remapping have come up against problems remapping some ECUs.

Thanks for the help ;) We have a Dyno Dynamics dyno arriving at the end of the month (AWD), reading hex is no issue as its an everyday job for me being a programmer, re-mapping is no problem as we do it on other ECU's just looking to branch out and start doing the Skoda gear as the cars are good and also very tunable. Not really interested in generic off the shelf maps, every car is different and requires changes to accomodate these differences. Off the shelf maps dont make the most of your car.

Thanks again.

Will look forward to seeing what services you offer.. the more the merrier i say. :D Where are you based?

We are based in Yorkshire (West), we currently look after Nissan Skylines, Subaru Imprezas, EVO's, Lexus, Toyotas and most of the main stream perfomance cars. Full retail outlet, installation workshop and rolling road soon :D

As well as the remapping side of things we are currently looking at putting together stage kits for SKODA and Seat Leon Cupra R's ;)

Have a gander at the Racing line and watch this space. :D

If you can do Skoda then you can do the rest of the VAG group.
