Windows opening upon remote lock

Featured Replies

Have had our new Scout now for 3 months and have loved it every day. However, just came back to our car after an afternoon in Exeter to find all 4 windows down. I remember pressing the remote lock - possibly twice - before setting off. Nothing was gone thank God but its a bit worrying..

I noticed a few weeks back that two windows on the left were halfway down after locking. Didnt see it happening and i was only away for a few minutes.

Has anyone seen this before? I will certainly call dealer tomorrow

It is worth noting that when you unlock the car using the remote fob, and keep the button pressed, all four windows (and sunroof if fitted) open.

This is to allow you to cool a hot interior when approaching the car.

Then, when locking the car, again, hold the lock button down and everything closes.

Some people have been known to sit on their key fob whilst it's in their pocket, opening the windows without realising.

Saying that a few people have also complained that their windows have opened by themselves and they know for a fact it has nothing to do with them or the key fob. The fact that only two windows partially opened would suggest that something is not right!
