My shiny new vRS is meant to be getting built in 9 weeks now (last communication from dealer reckoned it'd be build week 43. Yeah right.).

So how much notice do they give you when they're telling you it'll be pushed back six months?

i had no indication of a build week on their system until 2 weeks before actual production and even then it was actualy built a week earlier than predicted

We ring our customers every two weeks until the cars built, then every week once it's built. Skoda UK have the same build week information as the dealer, it all comes from the Factory through the same software.

So, 21 weeks without a call from my dealer may seem excessive to you?

21 weeks without a call I would consider unacceptable to be honest. Give them a call to find out what the current status on your order is and specifically ask them to contact you when there's any change.

Don't really see the point in regular updates for months if all they do is keep changing the build week until the original date has been and gone. Damn it.
