Hate Driving the Vrs now. Help PLEASE

Featured Replies

Here goes, i'm going to try and keep it as brief as possible:-

Three weeks ago my car went in to my local Skoda garage to have all four injectors changed(as per agreement by Skoda UK for one failed injector).I've got to say that the car had been running prefectly prior to this.

On having the car back the car kept on stuttering,so had to take the car to an independant specialist due to fact that skoda had discovered that the car had its DPF removed and re-programmed. As a result of this, independant specialist discovered that one of the cars injectors was faulty. Injector was changed and wiring loom.

Now here is the problem. It accelerates fine, driving around town is no problem, as is on motorways.

The problem arises when the revs go right down and you try to accelerate. The car shakes violently and i mean violently. When driven hard you would not think theres anything wrong, but if your cruising and you let the revs fall below or around 15 the car shakes badly, until you drop a grear and increase revs.

There are no faults showing on the VAG and someone has suggested that it may be clutch/DMF,although i don't know what a failing clutch symptoms are.

Anyone on here suffered a similar problem or any suggestions much appreciated.

Should have mentioned the car is a 56 plate PD170 VRS with 54,000 on clock.Mk2

As for the clutch dmf as being a possible cause sounds unlikely and a bit of a coincidence if it occurred when the injectors etc were changed.

Really sorry to hear the problems your having, while I can't answer your question or assist in anyway, I'm sure you will get a good response from other forum members.

56 plate VRS will be a Mk1, so you might be better posting in the Mk1 section.

No it won't. Mk2 vRS came out on a 55 plate.

Try VW TDi Club website

Calm down, chaps.

a. It's a Mk2 2 litre Diesel VRS

b. The Mk1 VRS (1.8T) was sold here until at least 2006 (mine was registered Feb 2006) (other Mk1 Octavias are still being sold new) so there is considerable overlap with Mk2 VRS in their various forms.
