Internet brokers

We've finally decided to sell our trusty Fabia Vrs and go for a new Yeti.

We have settled on a 140TDI SE 4x4 with a few options and now have to decide whether to fork out with a dealer (rung about half a dozen and no discounts going it seems) or take the plunge with a web broker and save around £2500.

Very impressed with the test drive we've had today, surprised at how quiet it is compared with my Octavia 140 TDi Elegance Estate and the ride quality.

I've looked at various comments on here and on other sites re the reliability of brokers and it appears to me to be a pretty mixed bag of good and bad, no one broker seems to be standing out as better than the others.

Just wondering if anyone has a recent good or bad experience of a broker and can point us in the right direction.

Also, what exactly is the problem of having a preregistered vehicle? I'm not bothered about being the first on the log book if it's saving me money.

Is there any particular reason not to go this route?

Thanks for any help, advice.

Ask James at Allams Skoda for a quote & part exchange.

I'd be expecting more than £2500 off for being a pre reg. You cab get almost that off brand new with some deals.

What spec are you after and what broker? Have you tried site sponsor dealers here?

Researched also and decided to go via dealer! James at Allams in Epsom is your man....and for a very good reason!

I bought mine through Broadspeed and wouldn't couldn't recommend them to anyone

No issues at all, mine was meant to be pre-registered but it arrived with me as the 1st owner on the V5

The only thing to watch out for is when you insure it, you need to tell them you are not the 'registered keeper'.

Hi,

After reading positive reviews on here I also contacted James at Allams, who was not only very helpful and knowledgeable about what he's selling but very competitive in terms of the deal offered to supply my current Yeti. Hence why I'm continue to mention him in my signature box below.

Shame your after a 140 because I think he could get you into a 1.8TSI Elegance in a couple of weeks going by his recent posts and having previously owned a 140 SE I would suggest the upgrade is worthwhile if the budget can stretch.

Regard internet brokers I did use Broadspeed a few years back to get a Corsa for my wife. Very impersonal service from the supplying dealer; swapping keys and paying up summed up the collection. Tried some brokers again a couple of years later when I was considering a Tiguan but all they were interested in was offloading some vehicles in stock. Ended up getting a Yeti instead from a local dealer, which I had for just over a year before doing the deal with James to upgrade to my current 110.

Regards,

TP

OK Thanks everyone.

I have seen the good reports on Allams before so certainly will give them a try, just a pity they are so far away from us living here in the Peak District. Still if its a good deal I'm quite prepared to travel.

TP lives further away than you from James.....

I had an order off here recently for a chap that lives 460 miles away. He actually has a dealer in Norway that is technically closer than me.....

You are welcome to send me an email with the spec and details of the Yeti you'd like and the information on your Fabia vRS and I can give you a cost to change so you know where you are then. I actually do fancy a Fabia vRS for myself! I haven't driven one for so long now, I think it would be entertaining to take one to the Nurburgring, I haven't done a lap there for a fair few months now!

My email should be in my signature. If you put BRISKODA in the subject of the email somewhere it makes it easier to find as I seem to get a lot of spam at the moment and my filter seems to put random things in the spam folder for no reason.
