what do you think.........let the dealer fit a towbar to my fl vrs .........or let one of the specalist tow bar places do it.....

Your dealer is going to pass it off to a "specalist" anyway. You will have no idea how good they might be. Seems to me it would be sensible to take the car direct to someone you trust - probably cheaper too.

Another thing to consider is many dealers seem unable to code the towbar correctly to the car.

I also agree with FF that some dealers will simply farm out the job to a specialist anyway.

indeed they will farm it out, thats what mine would have done, to the place who fitted it for me in any case, saved myself 200quid going direct!

if u have rear parking sensors, i hear u'll need special cable & vcds coding to prevent the sensors going ballistic when u put the car in reverse with a trailer hitched!!

No I didnt get them on due to the fact that I would at some point be getting a towbar fitted.....plus backing up artics 60 foot long I dont really need then
