Cheers ......looks like I will have to start saving up..........I was hoping as it was 130 tdi pd (6 speed gearbox) that the clutch would be a bit stronger ah well live and learn!!!!

my advice is to not get a dealer to fit from experience price wise, dealer quoted me

How many miles before the clutch started to go out of interest?

Mine is still fine at 44k of mostly motorway miles so I'm hoping it has plenty of life left yet

It's still working ok at the moment at 35,000 it just slips a bit if I floor it in the higher gears ....but I suppose its just that little bit extra bhp that tipped it over the edge, so I will detune it for now and see how it goes for a while :(

Mine went at 20k, just got the friction plate, fitted at

For the TDi clutch do a search for the Fabia vRS clutch, same item, same problems.

Different to the petrol one though, and more expensive.

Mine is still on the original clutch at 76k miles. The only things that slip under acceleration are the wheels on the road.
