I am going to be servicing my 2007 07 Octavia TDI 1.9 TDI PD and was wondering which oil is best for my car?

Shell or quantam and also if someone can post a link so I can see the oil.

Whatever you choose make sure it meets the VW507.00 spec. (if it doesn't specifically say it meets that spec then it is pretty safe to ensure it doesn't)

Platinum 5w40 meets VW 505, LongLife III 5w30 meets VW 507.

As you may know, Quantum is VAG's own brand - I did hear it was rebadged Castrol oil.
