Featured Replies

HELLO ALL I HAVE A FELICIA PICKUP

IT WAS A 1.3 AND HAVE CHANGED IT TO A 1.6 AEE ENGINE AND BOX

NOW I HAVE BOUGHT A POLO GTI 1.6 16V CAR AND WANT TO PUT THE ENGINE IN ONLY

HAS ANYONE GOT ANY ADVICE ON DOING THE CONVERSION

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT THANKS

Have a read through this thread first, a lot of the relevant info you need is in here

16v engine transplant

The engine will fit in the car fairly easily with just a few custom made parts, but the problem you will have is getting the thing to run, to use the avy or arc engine you have no real option but to use the correct ecu for it (unless you are going to run it on bike carbs) the immobiliser unit on those is fairly complex system which cannot be adapted to run in a felicia by itself.

I have the complete car to get my bits from anyway around the flyby wire gas peddle

I know this thread is 4 years old but I too am interested to know this and I have tried searching everywhere!

Any help with regards the 1.6 16v AVY straight swap into the 1.6 8v Felicia would be hugely appreciated.

Hi there toms the man on this for engine mods I own a 1.4 16v felicia required it from a fella in here and love it credit to tom there... and the bigger brakes well they saved my life as resently lost pinkskuds one.. now that was a machine....

Ive been looking into both the 1.6 AVY and the 1.4 AFH but the AFH is fetching stupid money. I can get the 1.6 AVY with full loom, engine loom, ECU, pedal box and sensor for £325. Just need to know what would need doing with regards mountings, wiring and whether the gearbox etc fits.

I'm keeping tabs on this thread as I want to do this engine conversion on my 1.4 Audi A2.
