As some of you may have seen we recently purchased a Skoda Octavia estate FSi 4x4 for our community responder team, we are now raising funds to mark the car in a high visibilty scheme and been quoted £610, i'm asking if any members here would like to donate towards this livery in return we would be pleased to display the "Briskoda" name and web address with permission of course, any donation would be grately received no matter how small, I have my own paypal or you can send a cheque to "Dover Community First Responders". Please pm me if you or anyoen you know can help.

Thank you

Paul

Think it might be wise to Ask ColinD the site owner 1st about getting sponsorship this way.

Have messaged Colin, cheers

Considering you are asking for donations then a bit of background on your charity(?) wouldn't go amiss.

+1 I'm quite sure the BRISKODA community would respond in a positive fashion if the information above is forthcoming and donations etc are all "above board".

I'm thinking out loud along the lines of XX,000 members @ £1 each, hell you could buy a fleet of octavia's :giggle:

Gizmo, I agree totally!

I'm team leader for Dover community first responders, we are all volunteers who are trained by South East Coast Ambulance to first person on scene level, we attend emergency 999 calls when an ambulance is further away than the control would like and we are sent to provide live saving intervention, often within 4 minutes of the call being received. We are trained for many types of calls from cardiac arrests, breathing difficulties to fits, falls and every day emergencies, we however do not attend any incidents that could be a danger to ourselves i'e alcohol, drugs, rtcs, suicides etc. I'm pleased to say i have received two commendations in the 3 years i have been doing this one of which was assisting in saving a heart attack victim on boxing day 2009. Please note we are not a replacement for ambulances and one would be sent to anything we attend.

Please feel free to ask anything!

Still no answer from Colin, does anyone know if he's away?

Paul

Hi Paul just had a shot around google and found a local dover community forum where someone called "ST1100" signing his name as Paul at end of posts back in 2009 gave an outline of the job and said he had just attained permission to livery up his bike. I assume that was you and your bike is the big Honda but was curious was it your own personal bike you got marked up and if you had any pics?

Yes it is, they run a risk assessment and found that using our bike was going to be too dangerous, i fail to understand how riding at the normal road speed and regulations is dangerous???
