De lock kit

Featured Replies

Seen them on ebay and considered it but as i never use key in door never really got any further,

That idea is fine until you get a flat battery and have to climb through boot to get to bonnet pull, if there breaking into car to steal it then you usually have keys anyway or if there breaking into car to steal sat nav then they usually just go through window anyway

I used the part from a rear door!

iirc there are 2 little grub screws that hold the lock in situ, you undo those (not to much) then it's a faff to get the lock out and swap the bits over. I'm sure someone can give a better more detailed explanation :giggle:

loosen screws looking at door end on (that holds the lock barrel in), then you kind of have to open the door and wiggle/pull the barrel out. Dont remove screws or you will hav to take door card off when they drop inside.

I have done it, i also wired a bypass fuse to under the dash so if you have the deadlocks on and the fuse blows you can still open the doors once a new fuse is put in. Entry can be gained via the tailgate as said.

top site, much better than my cr*ppy explanation
