Fuel tank lid

Featured Replies

Hi there

I have 2011 Skoda octavia II facelift and i have one doubt with the fuel tank lid. The fuel tank lid locking and unlocking operates from the car key, right. If I lock or unlock my car from center console button the fuel tank lid doesn't lock it self and one can open it with just pressing the fuel lid on the corner close to the rear bumper even if car is locked from inside using central console switch. Is it the proper way of fuel lid to function, if No then what is the VCDS setting for this.

Hi and welcome aboard.

Hello and welcome to Briskoda. Just curious as to why you would want to change this are you afraid someone will steal your fuel while you are in the car with doors locked?

LOL.... well said my friend. In India any thing can happen because we have bumper to bumper traffic and people have no traffic sense and it is better to keep every thing locked but thing is, that earlier my car's fuel tank lid use to work with the center console lock/unlock switch along with remote key when it was rolled out of the factory. Two months back i accidently messed my car codes. I took my car to the dealer they fixed my car but since then the fuel tank lid has stopped working with center console switch. And there are no options related to it in VCDS 10.06. Can someone help me with it.
