Front Passenger Locked OUT!

Featured Replies

Already tried the banging technique – close to getting a dent in the door!

I am resigned to removing the door card with door closed – I expect a little bit of damage to the card.

I then propose removing the 2 fixings between metal panel and the module.

Then undo all fixings and cable connections and take off just the metal panel leaving the module still attached to the door.

As suggested, I will try wiggling wiring connections at any opportunity.

I had hope to then apply 12v directly to the wires going to the motor in the module in an attempt to release the module’s “grip” on the striker.

If that do not work it going to be a case of pushing and poking the module in the hope that I cause it to release.

I have read lots of forums but no one appears to suggest exactly what to probe.

If that fails then the next option would be to start breaking up the module in-situ!

That would be annoying as I believe I have the skill to repair any faults in the module.

thanks in advance for any practical suggestions.
