Dew inside drl-glasses

Featured Replies

After my new car have been outside in rain for 3 days I noticed today a small dew inside both drl`s..

Hard to see in the picture but woundering if anyone else have the problem? perhaps the rubber-sealer back of the glasses isnt tight enugh?

Headlight misting maybe fail but not DRLS

DRLs are in the same unit as fog lights will this matter

Wouldn't have thought so, not all cars have fogs but all cars have headlights so this is all they check I think if headlights are fine it'll be a pass, I remember an issue with fogs before with misting up, plus the nights are getting colder now so will have a little misting, one of the headlights in my fabia's does mist a little until I put lights on then clear within seconds

mine misted the same side the other fine

May have a little moisture in it, maybe an idea to open up and vent then put together again but dealer might be a idea to visit

They might replace the whole unit probably

It must be a dodgy seal. Somehow it got water inside and with the engine running or the heat of the lights it started evaporating the trapped water.

I had the same when I first got mine last year, was going to mention it to the dealer but seemed to sort itself after a weekly wash when I used a detailing brush to clean around the base of the light there seems to be some small gaps in the seals to allow water out and air in which must have been blocked previously.

Our DRL's on our vRS steam up most of the time but it disipates when its been turned off for a while.

Thats an outrageous fault, I'd reject the car if I were you...... :giggle:

That should not happen, take it back.
